Hotel Acceptable amp Friendly Canterbury

Hotel Acceptable & Friendly, Canterbury.

Rising early c. 06.33 from NightWorld adventures. In First Class on a full flight. A passenger behind me has a white rabbit and doesn’t know how to feed it. I stroke the rabbit and provide an apple, a favourite of WillyFred in DayWorld. This, only one of many adventures.

Computing and e-flurrying at the table. More non-industry dissension.

11.03 David has called from DGM HQ. An incoming request to DGM: a radio interview for T&R re: memories of HMV.

My memory of HMV Oxford Street is of a buyer telling Declan Panegyric, our DGM distributor, that perhaps 50% of their DVDs were “grey”; that is, of questionable origins in respect of licensing and copyright - aka bootlegs.

And, a few days later, of it being suggested to me at a professional function, by an official body supervising legitimacy in the industry, that since the 50% dodgy content supported HMV’s trading of 50% legit content, why quibble? This by a character responsible for policing malfeasance. Well.

I’m not sure whether this is a story that would be welcome, but neither of us is able to do the interview anyway.

Jim is a very intuitive character, insightful, a good man. An excellent visit, a superb reading.

Very cold on the streets. Shopping for T’s groceries and supper.

A few minutes ago, AOL moved from give-up-and-try-to-smile to do-able-ish.

An early gentle.
